Pickurflick Indie filmfest to screen Iranian ‘Forouzan’

Iranian short ‘Forouzan’ is to compete at the March edition of the Pickurflick Indie Film Festival in India.

Iranian short ‘Forouzan’ has been set to vie at the March edition of the Pickurflick Indie Film Festival (PIFF) in India.

Directed by Mirabbas Khosravinejad, 'Forouzan' will compete with a number of titles from the US, Brazil, the UK, Spain, Canada, Australia and India at the March edition of the event.

The Iranian film tells the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away. She lives with her two young children in a village, and protects a herd of sheep against the attack of thieves at night.

The Pickurflick Indie Film Festival is India’s first unique indie film festival for independent filmmakers from around the globe. Its vision is to promote good independent cinema and support the indie film fraternity.

The festival showcases the best of indie talent handpicked by an esteemed jury of film professionals. The PIFF is a movement held monthly online and offline in New Delhi.

The March edition of the festival is scheduled for March 11-18, 2018, at the Instituto Cervantes.
